In a video of ‘Breakfast with Champions’ featuring Virat Kohli and hosted by Gaurav Kapoor, he provided a sneak peak of his daily diet. He also mentioned that he has not eaten his favourite butter chicken and naan for years now and his cheat meal would be some chole bhature from rajouri garden Delhi.

Here is Virat Kohli’s diet to his super fit body. He follows this religiously along with regular exercise.

Breakfast

This is the most important meal of the day and it should be eaten like a king. Following this, Virat refills himself with an omelette with 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg along with spinach, black pepper and cheese. Along with this he has some smoked salmon or grilled bacon whichever is available. To accompany this he has either a watermelon or papaya. This is his favourite breakfast. He carries gluten free bread and low fat butter for net sessions. He consumes a lot of cheese and nuts which are good fats which energises his body. He prefers having minimum 3 cups of green tea to help him have his daily dose of antioxidants.

Eggs are rich in proteins and vitamins A, C, D, E, K and even minerals like iron, zinc, copper. They also contain all 9 essential amino acids.

Spinach

Spinach is rich in nutrients and antioxidants, which can reduce stress and blood pressure levels. It is low in calories and high in fiber. It is a great source of vitamins A, B, C, E, K and minerals such as iron, calcium, potassium, and magnesium.

Cheese

Cheese is a source of healthy fat. It is packed with minerals like phosphorus, zinc which can promote a healthy heart and brain function. Cheese is also good for osteoporosis.

Grilled Bacon
