How Clindamycin Works

Clindamycin inhibits protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria by binding to the 50S subunits of bacterial ribosomes and preventing peptide bond formation, which causes bacterial cells to die.

Drug : erythromycin: Possibly blocked access of clindamycin to its site of action.

kaolin-pectin antidiarrheals: Decreased absorption of oral clindamycin.
