How Solifenacin Works

Solifenacin works by stopping muscle contractions and increasing the volume of urine that bladder can hold. This helps to control the release of urine and eases symptoms.

Common side effects of Solifenacin

Depression, Dizziness, Fatigue, Hypertension, Leg Swelling, Constipation, Dry Mouth, Dyspepsia, Nausea, Upper Abdominal Pain, Vomiting

Interaction

DrugDrugs that prolong QT interval: May increase risk of serious cardiac arrhythmias.

Potent CYP3A4 inducers (carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, rifampin): May decrease solifenacin concentration.

Potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole): May increase solifenacin level. Don't exceed solifenacin dose of 5 mg daily when used together.
