Interaction

DrugAmiodarone, iodide (including iodine-containing radiographic contrast agents), lithium: May reduce thyroid hormone secretion.

Carbamazepine, hydantoins, phenobarbital, rifampin: May increase hepatic metabolism, resulting in hypothyroidism.

Estrogens: May decrease thyroid levels.

FoodCottonseed meal, dietary fiber, soybean flour, walnuts: May decrease absorption of drug.
