Severe Psoriasis

Side effects of Acitrin 10mg Capsule

The most common side effects of Acitrin 10mg Capsule are – Fatigue, Headache, Hyperesthesia, Hypotonia, Insomnia, Intracranial Hypertension, Paresthesia, Peripheral Neuropathy, Rigors, Somnolence, Stroke, Dry Eyes or Mouth, Earache, Epistaxis, Eye Pain, Gingival Bleeding, Gingivitis, Increased Saliva, Photophobia, Anorexia, Abdominal Pain, Diarrhea, Nausea

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Acitrin 10mg Capsule

Do not use Acitrin 10mg Capsule if you are allergic to – Acitretin

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Acitrin 10mg Capsule.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Acitrin 10mg Capsule works

Acitrin 10mg Capsule contains – Acitretin

Acitretin binds to several retinoid receptors to regulate gene transcription. Exactly how the action of this second-generation retinoid allows normal growth and development of skin is unknown.

Dosage of Acitrin 10mg Capsule

The dosage of Acitrin 10mg Capsule depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Acitrin 10mg Capsule

If you forget to take a dose of Acitrin 10mg Capsule, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.

Drug :- Methotrexate: Increased risk of hepatitis.

Oral Contraceptives Containing only Progestin: Possibly decreased effectiveness of oral contraceptive.

Phenytoin: Possibly decreased protein binding of phenytoin.

Sulfonylureas: Possibly increased risk of hypoglycemia.

Tetracyclines: Increased intracranial pressure.

Vtamin A and other Oral Retinoids: Increased risk of hypervitaminosis A.

Food :- Alcohol Use: Increased risk of adverse reactions and acitretin toxicity.
