Amoxicillin kills bacteria by binding to and inactivating penicillin-binding proteins on the inner bacterial cell wall, weakening the bacterial cell wall and causing lysis.
Dosage of Advent 228.5mg Dry SyrupThe dosage of Advent 228.5mg Dry Syrup depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Advent 228.5mg Dry SyrupIf you forget to take a dose of Advent 228.5mg Dry Syrup, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Precautions & Warnings
InteractionDrug :- allopurinol: Increased risk of rash.
chloramphenicol, erythromycins, sulfonamides, tetracyclines: Reduced bactericidal effect of amoxicillin.
methotrexate: Increased risk of methotrexate toxicity.
oral contraceptives with estrogen: Possibly reduced effectiveness of contraceptive.
probenecid: Increased amoxicillin effects.
