Side effects of Albium 10mg Tablet
The most common side effects of Albium 10mg Tablet are – Dizziness, Fatigue, Headache, Lethargy, Light-Headedness, Paresthesia, Dry Mouth, Pharyngitis, Abdominal Cramps, Abdominal Pain, Constipation, Diarrhea, Esophagitis, Indigestion, Nausea
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while using Albium 10mg Tablet
Do not use Albium 10mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Chlordiazepoxide
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Albium 10mg Tablet.

How Albium 10mg Tablet works
Albium 10mg Tablet contains – Chlordiazepoxide
Chlordiazepoxide works by acting on receptors in the brain called GABA receptors. This causes the release of a neurotransmitter called GABA in the brain, GABA is a neurotransmitter that acts as a natural ‘nerve-calming’ agent.
Dosage of Albium 10mg Tablet
The dosage of Albium 10mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Albium 10mg Tablet
If you forget to take a dose of Albium 10mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction
Drug :- antacids: Altered rate of chlordiazepoxide absorption.
cimetidine, disulfiram, fluoxetine, isoniazid, ketoconazole, metoprolol, oral contraceptives, propoxyphene, propranolol, valproic acid: Increased blood chlordiazepoxide level.
CNS depressants: Increased CNS effects.
digoxin: Increased blood digoxin level and risk of digitalis toxicity.
levodopa: Decreased efficacy of levodopa's antiparkinsonian effects.
neuromuscular blockers: Potentiated, counteracted, or diminished effects of neuromuscular blockers.
phenytoin: Possibly increased phenytoin toxicity.
probenecid: Shortened onset of action or prolonged effect of chlordiazepoxide.
rifampin: Decreased chlordiazepoxide effect.
theophyllines: Antagonized sedative effects of chlordiazepoxide.
Activity :- alcohol use: Increased CNS effects.
