How Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution worksAlphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution contains - Brimonidine, Stabilized Oxychloro
Brimonidine works by stimulating alpha receptors found on blood vessels in the eye. The pressure within the eyeball is naturally maintained by a continuous flow of liquid called aqueous humour through the eyeball.
Dosage of Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic SolutionThe dosage of Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Overdose of Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic SolutionIf you forget to take a dose of Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.
If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.
Precautions & Warnings
InteractionDrug :- Antihypertensives, beta blockers, cardiac glycosides: May further decrease BP or pulse rate. Monitor vital signs.
Apraclonidine, dorzolamide, pilocarpine, timolol: May have additive IOP-lowering effects. Use cautiously together.
CNS depressants: May increase effects. Use cautiously together.
Linezolid, MAO inhibitors: May increase effects. Avoid using together.
TCAs: May interfere with brimonidine's effect. Use cautiously together.
