How Amibiotic 250mg Injection works

Amibiotic 250mg Injection contains - Amikacin

Amikacin binds to negatively charged sites on bacteria's outer cell membrane, disrupting cell integrity. Also binds to bacterial ribosomal subunits and inhibits protein synthesis. Both actions lead to cell death.

Dosage of Amibiotic 250mg Injection

The dosage of Amibiotic 250mg Injection depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Amibiotic 250mg Injection

If you forget to take a dose of Amibiotic 250mg Injection, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- Cephalosporins, Enflurane, Methoxyflurane, Vancomycin: Increased nephrotoxic effects.

General Anesthetics: Increased risk of neuromuscular blockade.

Loop Diuretics: Increased risk of ototoxicity.

Neuromuscular Blockers: Possibly increased neuromuscular blockade and prolonged respiratory depression.

Penicillins: Possibly inactivation of or synergistic effects with amikacin.
