How Amicin 100mg Injection works

Amicin 100mg Injection contains - Amikacin

Amikacin binds to negatively charged sites on bacteria's outer cell membrane, disrupting cell integrity. Also binds to bacterial ribosomal subunits and inhibits protein synthesis. Both actions lead to cell death.

Dosage of Amicin 100mg Injection

The dosage of Amicin 100mg Injection depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Amicin 100mg Injection

If you forget to take a dose of Amicin 100mg Injection, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- Cephalosporins, Enflurane, Methoxyflurane, Vancomycin: Increased nephrotoxic effects.

General Anesthetics: Increased risk of neuromuscular blockade.

Loop Diuretics: Increased risk of ototoxicity.

Neuromuscular Blockers: Possibly increased neuromuscular blockade and prolonged respiratory depression.

Penicillins: Possibly inactivation of or synergistic effects with amikacin.
