The most common side effects of Atchol F 10 mg/160 mg Tablet are – Headache, Altered Refraction, Dry Eyes, Dry Mouth, Glaucoma, Glossitis, Hearing Loss, Lip Swelling, Loss of Taste, Constipation, Diarrhea, Duodenal or Stomach Ulcers
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while using Atchol F 10 mg/160 mg Tablet
Do not use Atchol F 10 mg/160 mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Atorvastatin, Fenofibrate

How Atchol F 10 mg/160 mg Tablet works
Atchol F 10 mg/160 mg Tablet contains – Atorvastatin, Fenofibrate
Atorvastatin reduces plasma cholesterol and lipoprotein levels by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase and cholesterol synthesis in the liver and by increasing the number of LDL receptors on liver cells to enhance LDL uptake and breakdown.
Fenofibrate works by increasing the natural substance (enzyme) that breaks down fats in the blood.
Dosage of Atchol F 10 mg/160 mg Tablet
The dosage of Atchol F 10 mg/160 mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Atchol F 10 mg/160 mg Tablet
If you forget to take a dose of Atchol F 10 mg/160 mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction
Drug :- amlodipine, cimetidine, clarithromycin, diltiazem, erythromycin, itraconazole, ritonavir with saquinavir: Increased atorvastatin level.
antacid, colestipol, efavirenz, rifampin: Possibly decreased blood atorvastatin level azole antifungals, clarithromycin, cyclosporine, erythromycin, fibric acid derivatives, lopinavir with ritonavir, niacin at dosage used for lipid modification, nicotinic acid, ritonavir with saquinavir: Increased risk of severe myopathy or rhabdomyolysis. cyclosporine: Increased atorvastatin bioavailability and risk of adverse reactions.
digoxin: Possibly increased blood digoxin level, causing toxicity.
oral contraceptives such as ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone: Increased hormone level.
Food :- grapefruit juice more than 1.2 L daily: Increased blood atorvastatin level.
