The most common side effects of Atecard 50mg Tablet are – Dizziness, Drowsiness, Fatigue, Fever, Lethargy, Light-Headedness, Short-Term Memory Loss, Vertigo
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while using Atecard 50mg Tablet
Do not use Atecard 50mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Atenolol
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Atecard 50mg Tablet.

How Atecard 50mg Tablet works
Atecard 50mg Tablet contains – Atenolol
Atenolol inhibits stimulation of beta1-receptor sites, located mainly in the heart, decreasing cardiac excitability, cardiac output, and myocardial oxygen demand. Atenolol also acts to decrease release of renin from the kidneys, aiding in reducing blood pressure.
Dosage of Atecard 50mg Tablet
The dosage of Atecard 50mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Atecard 50mg Tablet
If you forget to take a dose of Atecard 50mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction
Drug :- amiodarone: Additive atenolol effects calcium channel blockers, such as verapamil and diltiazem: Possibly symptomatic bradycardia and conduction abnormalities.
catecholamine-depleting drugs, such as reserpine: Additive antihypertensive effect.
clonidine: Rebound hypertension.
disopyramide: Increased risk of severe bradycardia, asystole, and heart failure.
