How Aten-H 25 Tablet worksAten-H 25 Tablet contains - Atenolol, Hydrochlorothiazide
Atenolol inhibits stimulation of beta1-receptor sites, located mainly in the heart, decreasing cardiac excitability, cardiac output, and myocardial oxygen demand. Atenolol also acts to decrease release of renin from the kidneys, aiding in reducing blood pressure.
Hydrochlorothiazide increases sodium and water excretion by inhibiting sodium and chloride reabsorption in distal segment of the nephron.
Dosage of Aten-H 25 TabletThe dosage of Aten-H 25 Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Aten-H 25 TabletIf you forget to take a dose of Aten-H 25 Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Precautions & Warnings
InteractionDrug :- amiodarone: Additive atenolol effects calcium channel blockers, such as verapamil and diltiazem: Possibly symptomatic bradycardia and conduction abnormalities.
catecholamine-depleting drugs, such as reserpine: Additive antihypertensive effect.
clonidine: Rebound hypertension.
disopyramide: Increased risk of severe bradycardia, asystole, and heart failure.
