How Azenam 500mg Injection worksAzenam 500mg Injection contains - Aztreonam
Aztreonam inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis in susceptible aerobic gram-negative bacteria. These bacteria assemble rigid, cross-linked cell walls in several steps. Aztreonam affects the final cross-linking step by inactivating penicillin-binding protein 3 the enzyme that links cell wall strands, which causes cell lysis and death.

Overdose of Azenam 500mg InjectionIf you forget to take a dose of Azenam 500mg Injection, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Precautions & Warnings
InteractionDrug :- aminoglycosides prolonged or high-dose therapy: Increased risk of nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity.
cefoxitin, imipenem: Possibly antagonized action of aztreonam.
furosemide, probenecid: Possibly increased blood aztreonam level.
