Uses of B Crip 1.25mg Tablet

B Crip 1.25mg Tablet is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Acromegaly, Amenorrhea, Infertility, Hypogonadism, Prolactin-Secreting Adenomas

Side effects of B Crip 1.25mg Tablet

The most common side effects of B Crip 1.25mg Tablet are - Headache, Altered Refraction, Dry Eyes, Dry Mouth, Glaucoma, Glossitis, Hearing Loss, Lip Swelling, Loss of Taste, Constipation, Diarrhea, Duodenal or Stomach Ulcers

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using B Crip 1.25mg Tablet

Do not use B Crip 1.25mg Tablet if you are allergic to - Bromocriptine

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using B Crip 1.25mg Tablet.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How B Crip 1.25mg Tablet works

B Crip 1.25mg Tablet contains - Bromocriptine

Bromocriptine inhibits secretion of prolactin and acts as a dopamine receptor agonist by activating postsynaptic dopamine receptors, improves glycemic control.

Dosage of B Crip 1.25mg Tablet

The dosage of B Crip 1.25mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of B Crip 1.25mg Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of B Crip 1.25mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.

Interaction

Drug :- Amitriptyline, haloperidol, imipramine, loxapine, MAO inhibitors, methyldopa, phenothiazines, reserpine: May interfere with bromocriptine's effects. Bromocriptine dosage may need to be increased.

Antihypertensives: May increase hypotensive effects. Adjust dosage of antihypertensive.

Chloramphenicol, probenecid, salicylates, sulfonamides: May increase unbound fraction of other highly protein-bound drugs. Monitor patient for increased adverse reactions.

Ergot-related drugs: May increase occurrence of ergot-related adverse effects and reduce effectiveness of these therapies. Avoid concomitant use.

Estrogens, hormonal contraceptives, progestins: May interfere with effects of bromocriptine. Avoid using together.

Levodopa: May have additive effects. Adjust dosage of levodopa, if needed.

Macrolides (erythromycin): May increase bromocriptine level and risk of adverse reactions. Use together cautiously.

Triptans (sumatriptan): May have additive vasoconstrictive effects. Concomitant use is contraindicated, don't use within 24 hours of one another.
