Barclav 500 mg/125 mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat infections caused by bacteria, such as Infections of the ear, nose, throat, genitourinary tract, skin and skin structure, and lower respiratory tract.

Barclav 500 mg/125 mg Tablet is also used for the treatment of H. pylori infection and ulcer disease.

Side effects of Barclav 500 mg/125 mg Tablet

The most common side effects of Barclav 500 mg/125 mg Tablet are – Nausea, Vomiting, diarrhea, rash, changes in taste, headache.

Barclav 500 mg/125 mg Tablet is usually taken every 12 hours (twice a day) or every 8 hours (three times a day) with or without food.

Interaction

Drug :- allopurinol: Increased risk of rash.

chloramphenicol, erythromycins, sulfonamides, tetracyclines: Reduced bactericidal effect of amoxicillin.

methotrexate: Increased risk of methotrexate toxicity.

oral contraceptives with estrogen: Possibly reduced effectiveness of contraceptive.

probenecid: Increased amoxicillin effects.
