Blumox CA 228.5mg Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used to treat infections caused by bacteria, such as Infections of the ear, nose, throat, genitourinary tract, skin and skin structure, and lower respiratory tract.

Blumox CA 228.5mg Dry Syrup is also used for the treatment of H. pylori infection and ulcer disease.

Side effects of Blumox CA 228.5mg Dry Syrup

The most common side effects of Blumox CA 228.5mg Dry Syrup are – Nausea, Vomiting, diarrhea, rash, changes in taste, headache.

Dosage of Blumox CA 228.5mg Dry Syrup

Blumox CA 228.5mg Dry Syrup is usually taken every 12 hours (twice a day) or every 8 hours (three times a day) with or without food.

Overdose of Blumox CA 228.5mg Dry Syrup

If you forget to take a dose of Blumox CA 228.5mg Dry Syrup, take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Symptoms of overdose with Blumox CA 228.5mg Dry Syrup – cloudy or bloody urine, decreased urination, swelling of any part of the body, confusion, nausea, vomiting.

Interaction

Drug :- allopurinol: Increased risk of rash.

chloramphenicol, erythromycins, sulfonamides, tetracyclines: Reduced bactericidal effect of amoxicillin.

methotrexate: Increased risk of methotrexate toxicity.

oral contraceptives with estrogen: Possibly reduced effectiveness of contraceptive.

probenecid: Increased amoxicillin effects.
