The most common side effects of Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet are – Depression, Dizziness, Fatigue, Fever, Headache, Abdominal Pain, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while using Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet
Do not use Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Carvedilol
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

How Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet works
Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet contains – Carvedilol
Carvedilol reduces cardiac output and tachycardia, causes vasodilation, and decreases peripheral vascular resistance, which reduces blood pressure and cardiac workload. When given for at least 4 weeks, carvedilol reduces plasma renin activity.
Dosage of Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet
The dosage of Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Overdose of Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet
If you forget to take a dose of Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction
Drug :- amiodarone, other CYP2C9 drugs, such as fluconazole: Increased risk of bradycardia or heart block.
beta blockers, digoxin: Increased risk of bradycardia.
calcium channel blockers especially diltiazem and verapamil: Abnormal cardiac conduction and, possibly, increased adverse effects of calcium channel blockers .
catecholamine-depleting drugs such as reserpine, MAO inhibitors: Additive effects, increased risk of hypotension and bradycardia.
cimetidine: Increased blood carvedilol level.
clonidine: Risk of tachycardia and hypertension when clonidine is discontinued.
cyclosporine, digoxin: Increased blood levels of these drugs.
digoxin: Possibly increased digoxin level.
oral antidiabetics: Increased risk of hypoglycemia.
rifampin: Decreased blood carvedilol level.
