Ciprotage 250mg Tablet is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Bacterial Infections (Respiratory, Urinary Tract Infections)

Side effects of Ciprotage 250mg Tablet

The most common side effects of Ciprotage 250mg Tablet are – Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Dryness In Mouth, Altered Taste, Abdominal Pain, Agitation, Anxiety, Fever, Constipation, Allergic Reaction, Impaired Concentration, Sweating, Headache

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Ciprotage 250mg Tablet

Do not use Ciprotage 250mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Ciprofloxacin

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Ciprotage 250mg Tablet.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Ciprotage 250mg Tablet works

Ciprotage 250mg Tablet contains – Ciprofloxacin

Ciprofloxacin inhibits the enzyme DNA gyrase, which is responsible for the unwinding and supercoiling of bacterial DNA before it replicates. By inhibiting this enzyme, ciprofloxacin causes bacterial cells to die.

Dosage of Ciprotage 250mg Tablet

The dosage of Ciprotage 250mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Ciprotage 250mg Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Ciprotage 250mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.

Overdose can have harmful effects on kidney. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine to avoid an overdose.

It takes about 1 to 2 hours to show the effect of the medicine.

Duration of Action Ciprotage 250mg Tablet

Effect of medication lasts for an average of 12 to 20 hours.

Drug :- antacids, didanosine, iron supplements, sucralfate, multivitamins that contain iron or zinc: Decreased ciprofloxacin absorption.

cyclosporine: Elevated serum creatinine and blood cyclosporine levels.

glyburide: Severe hypoglycemia.

methotrexate: Increased blood methotrexate level and increased risk of toxicity.

NSAIDs except acetylsalicylic acid: Increased risk of seizures with high doses of ciprofloxacin.

oral anticoagulants: Enhanced anticoagulant effects.

phenytoin: Increased or decreased blood phenytoin level.

probenecid: Increased blood ciprofloxacin level and, possibly, toxicity.

theophylline: Increased blood level, half-life, and risk of adverse effects of theophylline.

tizanidine: Increased tizanidine effects.

Food :- caffeine: Increased caffeine effects.

dairy products: Delayed drug absorption.
