Codox L 100mg Capsule is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Bacterial Infections (Ear, Nose, Throat, GU Tract, Skin, and Soft-Tissue)

Side effects of Codox L 100mg Capsule

The most common side effects of Codox L 100mg Capsule are – Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Dry Mouth, Altered Taste, Abdominal Pain, Fever, Constipation, Allergic Reaction

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Codox L 100mg Capsule

Do not use Codox L 100mg Capsule if you are allergic to – Doxycycline

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Codox L 100mg Capsule.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

Codox L 100mg Capsule contains – Doxycycline

Doxycycline works to treat infections by preventing the growth and spread of bacteria. It works to treat acne by killing the bacteria that infects pores and decreasing a certain natural oily substance that causes acne.

Dosage of Codox L 100mg Capsule

The dosage of Codox L 100mg Capsule depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Codox L 100mg Capsule

If you forget to take a dose of Codox L 100mg Capsule, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- Antacids containing aluminum, calcium, magnesium, laxatives containing magnesium, oral iron preparations decrease absorption. Barbiturates, carbamazepine, phenytoin may decrease concentration.

Cholestyramine, colestipol may decrease absorption. May decrease effects of oral contraceptives.

Herbs :- Dong quai, St. John's wort may increase photosensitization. St. John's wort may decrease concentration/effects.
