Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder, Asthma

Side effects of Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet

The most common side effects of Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet are – Abdominal Upset, Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Restlessness

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet

Do not use Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet if you are allergic to – Etofylline/Etophylline, Theophylline

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet works

Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet contains – Etofylline/Etophylline, Theophylline

Etofylline works in the airways by relaxing muscles, opening breathing passages, and decreasing the lungs’ response to irritants. Controlling symptoms of breathing problems can decrease time lost from work or school.

Theophylline inhibits phosphodiesterase enzymes, causing bronchodilation. Normally, these enzymes inactivate cAMP and cGMP, which are responsible for bronchial smoothmuscle relaxation. Theophylline also may cause calcium translocation, antagonize prostaglandins and adenosine receptors, stimulate catecholamines, and inhibit cGMP metabolism.

Dosage of Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet

The dosage of Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.
