The most common side effects of Diamox 250mg Tablet are - Fatigue, Diarrhea, Increased Urination/Frequency, Decreased Appetite/Weight, Dysgeusia (Metallic), Nausea, Vomiting, Paresthesia, Circumoral Numbness Depression, Drowsiness Headache, Photosensitivity, Confusion, Tinnitus, Severe Muscle Weakness, Loss of Taste

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Do not use Diamox 250mg Tablet if you are allergic to - Acetazolamide

How Diamox 250mg Tablet works

Diamox 250mg Tablet contains - Acetazolamide

Acetazolamide works by blocking the action of an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase. Blocking this enzyme reduces the amount of fluid (called aqueous humour) that you make in the front part of your eye, and this helps to lower the pressure within your eye.

Dosage of Diamox 250mg Tablet

The dosage of Diamox 250mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Diamox 250mg Tablet

Interaction

Drug :- Amphetamines, Methenamine, Phenobarbital, Procainamide, Quinidine: Decreased excretion and possibly toxicity of these drugs.

Corticosteroids: Increased risk of hypokalemia.

Cyclosporine: Increased cyclosporine level, possibly nephrotoxicity or neurotoxicity.

Diflunisal: Possibly significantly decreased intraocular pressure.

Lithium: Increased excretion and decreased effectiveness of lithium.

Primidone: Decreased serum and urine primidone levels.

Salicylates: Increased risk of salicylate toxicity.
