Precautions while using Eliquis 2.5mg TabletDo not use Eliquis 2.5mg Tablet if you are allergic to - Apixaban
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Eliquis 2.5mg Tablet.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.
How Eliquis 2.5mg Tablet worksEliquis 2.5mg Tablet contains - Apixaban
Apixaban selectively inhibits factor Xa, decreasing thrombin generation and thrombus development.
Dosage of Eliquis 2.5mg TabletThe dosage of Eliquis 2.5mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Overdose of Eliquis 2.5mg TabletIf you forget to take a dose of Eliquis 2.5mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.
If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.
Precautions & Warnings
InteractionDrug :- Aspirin and other antiplatelet agents/anticoagulants, heparin, NSAIDs, SNRIs, SSRIs, thrombolytics: May increase bleeding risk. Avoid use together.
Enoxaparin, naproxen: May increase antifactor Xa activity. Avoid use together. Strong dual inducers of CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein (P-gp) (carbamazepine, phenytoin, rifampin): May decrease apixaban concentration. Avoid use together.
Strong dual inhibitors of CYP3A4 and P-gp (clarithromycin, itraconazole, ketoconazole, ritonavir): May increase apixaban concentration. Recommended dosage is 2.5 mg b.i.d., avoid use together in patients already taking 2.5 mg b.i.d.
Voraxapar: May increase bleeding risk. Avoid use together.
Herb :- Alfalfa, anise, bilberry: May increase bleeding risk. Consider therapy modification.
St. John's wort: May decrease apixaban concentration. Discourage use together.
