The most common side effects of Eliwel 50mg Tablet are – Diarrhoea, Constipation, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach pain, Hearing problems, Abdominal Pain

Do not use Eliwel 50mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Amitriptyline
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Eliwel 50mg Tablet.

How Eliwel 50mg Tablet works
Eliwel 50mg Tablet contains – Amitriptyline
Amitriptyline works in depression by prolonging the activity of neurotransmitters called serotonin and noradrenaline that are released from nerve cells in the brain. This helps prolong the mood lightening effect of these neurotransmitters and helps relieve depression.
Dosage of Eliwel 50mg Tablet
The dosage of Eliwel 50mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Overdose of Eliwel 50mg Tablet
If you forget to take a dose of Eliwel 50mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.
If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.
Consult your doctor before taking this medicine to avoid an overdose. Overdose symptoms – Changes in heart rate, hallucinations, confusion, nausea, severe drowsiness.

Alcohol
Don't consume alcohol while taking this medicine; it may increase the risk of side effects. Adverse effects symptoms - changes in heart rate; sleepiness; excessive sweating; muscle stiffness.
Pregnancy
It is safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. However; consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Breastfeeding
This medicine is safe to use during breastfeeding. It is advisable to consult your doctor before taking this medication.
Driving
Not safe during driving; you may feel dizzy or sleepy after taking this medicine.

Interaction
Drug :- anticholinergics, epinephrine, norepinephrine: Increased effects of these drugs.
barbiturates: Decreased amitriptyline level.
carbamazepine: Decreased serum amitriptyline level and increased serum carbamazepine level, which increases therapeutic and toxic effects of carbamazepine cimetidine, disulfiram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, haloperidol, H2-receptor antagonists,methylphenidate, oral contraceptives, paroxetine,phenothiazines, sertraline: Increased serum amitriptyline level.
cisapride: Possibly prolonged QT interval and increased risk of arrhythmias.
clonidine, guanethidine, and other antihypertensives: Decreased antihypertensive effects.
dicumarol: Increased anticoagulant effect.
levodopa: Decreased levodopa absorption, sympathetic hyperactivity, sinus tachycardia, hypertension, agitation MAO inhibitors: Possibly seizures and death thyroid replacement drugs: Arrhythmias and increased antidepressant effects.
Activity :- alcohol use: Enhanced CNS depression.
smoking: Decreased amitriptyline effects
