Envas 5mg Tablet is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Hypertension, High Blood Pressure, Heart Failure

Side effects of Envas 5mg Tablet

The most common side effects of Envas 5mg Tablet are – Headache, Dizziness, Orthostatic Hypotension, Fatigue, Diarrhea, Cough, Syncope, Angina, Abdominal Pain, Vomiting, Nausea, Rash, Asthenia

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Envas 5mg Tablet

Do not use Envas 5mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Enalapril

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Envas 5mg Tablet.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Envas 5mg Tablet works

Envas 5mg Tablet contains – Enalapril

Enalapril works by blocking a substance in the body that causes the blood vessels to tighten. As a result, enalapril relaxes the blood vessels. This lowers blood pressure and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart.

Dosage of Envas 5mg Tablet

The dosage of Envas 5mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Envas 5mg Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Envas 5mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.

Interaction

Drug :- Alcohol, antihypertensive agents, diuretics may increase effects. NSAIDs may decrease antihypertensive effect, increase risk of possible acute renal failure.

Potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements may cause hyperkalemia. May increase lithium concentration, toxicity.

Herbs :- Ephedra, ginseng, yohimbe may worsen hypertension. Garlic may increase antihypertensive effect. Licorice may cause sodium/water retention, loss of potassium.

Lab Values :- May increase serum BUN, alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin, creatinine, potassium, ALT, AST. May decrease serum sodium. May cause positive ANA titer.
