Esomac 10mg Granules is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Gastric Ulcer

Side effects of Esomac 10mg Granules

The most common side effects of Esomac 10mg Granules are – Headache, Diarrhea, Abdominal Pain, Nausea, Dizziness, Asthenia, Vomiting, Constipation, Rash, Cough

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Esomac 10mg Granules

Do not use Esomac 10mg Granules if you are allergic to – Esomeprazole

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Esomac 10mg Granules.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Esomac 10mg Granules works

Esomac 10mg Granules contains – Esomeprazole

Esomeprazole works by decreasing the amount of acid made in the stomach.

Dosage of Esomac 10mg Granules

The dosage of Esomac 10mg Granules depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Esomac 10mg Granules

If you forget to take a dose of Esomac 10mg Granules, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.

Overdose symptoms – Fast heartbeat, blurred vision, nausea, sweating, confusion.

Onset of Action Esomac 10mg Granules

It takes about 1 to 2 hours to show the effect of the medicine.

Duration of Action Esomac 10mg Granules

Effect of medication lasts for an average of 18 to 20 hours.

Alcohol consumption is probably safe. However; drinking alcohol may cause irritation in your stomach.

This medicine usually causes no problems in your driving.


This medicine should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Drug :- antimicrobials: Increased esomeprazole level.

atazanavir, nelfinavir: Decreased blood levels of these drugs.

diazepam: Possibly increased diazepam level.

digoxin, iron salts, ketoconazole: Possibly decreased absorption of these drugs.

saquinavir: Increased plasma saquinavir level with increased toxicity.

voriconazole: Increased esomeprazole exposure and risk of adverse effects.

warfarin: Possibly increased INR and PT, leading to abnormal bleeding.

Food :- all foods: Decreased bioavailability of esomeprazole.
