Gericef 500mg Tablet is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Bacterial infections (Ear, Nose, Throat, GU Tract, Respiratory Tract, Skin)

Side effects of Gericef 500mg Tablet

The most common side effects of Gericef 500mg Tablet are – Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Dryness In Mouth, Altered Taste, Abdominal Pain, Agitation, Anxiety, Fever, Constipation, Allergic Reaction, Impaired Concentration, Sweating, Headache

How Gericef 500mg Tablet works

Gericef 500mg Tablet contains – Cefuroxime

Cefuroxime interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis by inhibiting the final step in the crosslinking of peptidoglycan strands. Peptidoglycan makes the cell membrane rigid and protective. Without it, bacterial cells rupture and die.

Dosage of Gericef 500mg Tablet

The dosage of Gericef 500mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Gericef 500mg Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Gericef 500mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.
