Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Asthma, Chronic Bronchitis, Emphysema

Side effects of Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet

The most common side effects of Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet are - Headache, Insomnia, Light-Headedness, Nervousness, Restlessness, Nausea, Vomiting, Muscle Spasms

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet

Do not use Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet if you are allergic to - Terbutaline, Bromhexine

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet.

How Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet works

Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet contains - Terbutaline, Bromhexine

Terbutaline stimulates beta2-adrenergic receptors in the lungs, which is believed to increase production of cAMP. The increased cAMP level relaxes bronchial smooth muscles, thereby increasing bronchial airflow and relieving bronchospasm.

Bromhexine acts on the mucus at the formative stages in the glands, within the mucus-secreting cells.

Dosage of Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet

The dosage of Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Grilinctus-BM 2.5mg/8mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- antihypertensives, diuretics: Decreased antihypertensive effect.

beta blockers: Mutual inhibition of therapeutic effects, increased risk of bronchospasm.

CNS stimulants: Additive CNS stimulation, possibly resulting in adverse effects.

digoxin: Increased risk of arrhythmias, possibly digitalis toxicity.

halogenated anesthetics: Possibly ventricular arrhythmias.

MAO inhibitors: Possibly potentiated action of terbutaline, headache, hyperpyrexia, hypertension, possible hypertensive crisis.

maprotiline, tricyclic antidepressants:Possibly potentiated action of terbutaline.

nitrates: Decreased effectiveness of nitrates.

ritodrine: Increased effects of either drug and potential for adverse effects.

sympathomimetics: Increased CNS stimulation and risk of adverse cardiovascular effects, including prolonged QT interval.

thyroid hormones: Increased effects of either drug, risk of coronary insufficiency in patients with coronary artery disease.

xanthines theophylline: Increased CNS stimulation and other additive toxic effects.

Food :- caffeine: Increased CNS stimulation and other additive toxic effects.
