Side effects of Kinphos 40mg Injection

The most common side effects of Kinphos 40mg Injection are – Seizures, Mild and Transient Headache, Psychic Stimulation, Neuropathy, Acute Extrapyramidal, Anorexia, Abdominal Cramps, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Kinphos 40mg Injection

Do not use Kinphos 40mg Injection if you are allergic to – Chloroquine

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Kinphos 40mg Injection.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Kinphos 40mg Injection works

Kinphos 40mg Injection contains – Chloroquine

Chloroquine may bind to and alter the properties of DNA in susceptible parasites.

The dosage of Kinphos 40mg Injection depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Kinphos 40mg Injection

If you forget to take a dose of Kinphos 40mg Injection, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.

Drug :- Aluminum salts (kaolin), magnesium: May decrease GI absorption. Separate dose times by 4 hours.

Ampicillin: May significantly reduce bioavailability of ampicillin. Separate dose times by 2 hours.

Cimetidine: May decrease hepatic metabolism of chloroquine. Monitor patient for toxicity.

Cyclosporine: May cause a sudden increase in serum cyclosporine level. Monitor patient closely. If necessary, discontinue chloroquine.

Drugs that prolong QT interval: May have additive effects on QT interval. Avoid concurrent use if possible.

Mefloquine: May increase seizure risk. Avoid concurrent use, and delay administration of mefloquine until at least 12 hours after the last dose of chloroquine when possible.
