Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Irritable Bowel Syndrome Associated with Constipation in Women, Chronic Idiopathic Constipation in Adults

Side effects of Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule

The most common side effects of Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule are – Nausea, Diarrhea, Gas, Vomiting, Dry Mouth, Runny Nose, Cough, Fever, Headache, Joint or Back Pain, or Trouble Sleeping May Occur, Swelling of Arms or Legs, Mental or Mood Changes

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule

Do not use Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule if you are allergic to – Lubiprostone

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule contains – Lubiprostone

Lubiprostone specifically activates ClC-2 chloride channels on the apical aspect of gastrointestinal epithelial cells, producing a chloride-rich fluid secretion.

Dosage of Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule

The dosage of Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule

If you forget to take a dose of Lubowel 8mg Soft Gelatin Capsule, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.
