Bacterial Infections (Respiratory Tract Infections)

Side effects of Macpod CV 200 Tablet

The most common side effects of Macpod CV 200 Tablet are – Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Dryness In Mouth, Altered Taste, Abdominal Pain, Agitation, Anxiety, Fever, Constipation, Allergic Reaction, Impaired Concentration, Sweating, Headache

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Macpod CV 200 Tablet

Do not use Macpod CV 200 Tablet if you are allergic to – Cefpodoxime, Clavulanic Acid

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Macpod CV 200 Tablet.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Macpod CV 200 Tablet works

Macpod CV 200 Tablet contains – Cefpodoxime, Clavulanic Acid

Cefpodoxime interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis by inhibiting the final step in the crosslinking of peptidoglycan strands. Peptidoglycan makes cell membranes rigid and protective. Without it, bacterial cells rupture and die.

Dosage of Macpod CV 200 Tablet

The dosage of Macpod CV 200 Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Macpod CV 200 Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Macpod CV 200 Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.

Interaction

Drug :- aminoglycosides, loop diuretics: Increased risk of nephrotoxicity.

antacids, H2-receptor antagonists: Reduced bioavailability and blood level of cefpodoxime.

oral anticholinergics: Delayed peak blood level of cefpodoxime.

probenecid: Possibly increased and prolonged blood cefpodoxime level.
