The most common side effects of Malirid 7.5mg Tablet are – Nausea, Vomiting, Epigastric Distress, Abdominal Cramps, Hemolytic Anemia, Leukopenia, Methemoglobinemia
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while using Malirid 7.5mg Tablet
Do not use Malirid 7.5mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Primaquine
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Malirid 7.5mg Tablet.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

Malirid 7.5mg Tablet contains – Primaquine
Primaquine may bind to and alter the properties of DNA in susceptible parasites.
Dosage of Malirid 7.5mg Tablet
The dosage of Malirid 7.5mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Overdose of Malirid 7.5mg Tablet
If you forget to take a dose of Malirid 7.5mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction
Drug :- QTc interval-prolonging drugs: May increase QTc interval and risk of ventricular arrhythmias. Monitor therapy.
Quinacrine: May increase risk of toxicity. Avoid concomitant use.
Vaccine (rabies): May decrease antibody response to rabies vaccine. International travelers should complete a three-dose rabies vaccination series before starting primaquine. If this isn't possible, the rabies vaccine should be given intramuscularly and not intradermally.
Food :- Grapefruit juice: May increase drug plasma concentration and toxic effects. Advise patient to avoid grapefruit products.
