Interactions

Drug :- Aminoglutethimide, carbamazepine, fosphenytoin, phenobarbital, phenytoin, rifampin, topiramate: May decrease progestin effects. Monitor patient for diminished therapeutic response. Tell patient to use a nonhormonal contraceptive during therapy with these drugs.

Anticonvulsants, corticosteroids: These drugs can also reduce bone mass. Monitor patient.

Herb :- St. John's wort: May decrease progestin effects. Avoid use together.

Food :- Caffeine: May increase caffeine level. Advise caution.
