Metagard 35mg Tablet CR is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Stable Angina Pectoris, Chest Pain

Side effects of Metagard 35mg Tablet CR

The most common side effects of Metagard 35mg Tablet CR are – Hypersensitivity, Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal Pain, Constipation

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Metagard 35mg Tablet CR

Do not use Metagard 35mg Tablet CR if you are allergic to – Trimetazidine

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Metagard 35mg Tablet CR.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

How Metagard 35mg Tablet CR works

Metagard 35mg Tablet CR contains – Trimetazidine

Trimetazidine is an anti-ischemic (anti-anginal) metabolic agent, which improves myocardial glucose utilization through inhibition of fatty acid metabolism, also known as fatty acid oxidation inhibitor.

Dosage of Metagard 35mg Tablet CR

The dosage of Metagard 35mg Tablet CR depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Metagard 35mg Tablet CR

If you forget to take a dose of Metagard 35mg Tablet CR, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.
