Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Irritable Colon, Spastic Constipation, Mucous Colitis and Spastic Colitis

Side effects of Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule

The most common side effects of Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule are – Dizziness, Throat Irritation, Headache, Nausea, Flatulence, Hiccup, Dryness In Mouth, Indigestion

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule

Do not use Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule if you are allergic to – Mebeverine, Chlordiazepoxide

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule works

Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule contains – Mebeverine, Chlordiazepoxide

Mebeverine appears to work directly on smooth muscle within the gastrointestinal tract and may have an anesthetic effect, may affect calcium channels and may affect muscarinic receptors.

Chlordiazepoxide works by acting on receptors in the brain called GABA receptors. This causes the release of a neurotransmitter called GABA in the brain, GABA is a neurotransmitter that acts as a natural ‘nerve-calming’ agent.

Dosage of Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule

The dosage of Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule

If you forget to take a dose of Meva C 135mg/5mg Capsule, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.
