The most common side effects of Milnace 50mg Tablet are - Anxiety, Depression, Tension Headache, Fever, Hypesthesia, Irritability, Insomnia, Tremors, Abdominal Distention, Abdominal Pain, Dizziness, Falls, Fatigue, Migraine, Constipation, Decreased Appetite, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Dry Mouth, Rash

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Milnace 50mg Tablet

Do not use Milnace 50mg Tablet if you are allergic to - Milnacipran

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Milnace 50mg Tablet.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Milnace 50mg Tablet works

Milnace 50mg Tablet contains - Milnacipran

Milnacipran is a potent inhibitor of neuronal norepinephrine and serotonin reuptake, however, it doesn't affect the uptake of dopamine or other transmitters.

Dosage of Milnace 50mg Tablet

The dosage of Milnace 50mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Milnace 50mg Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Milnace 50mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.

Interaction

Drug :- Antipsychotics (risperidone), cyclobenzaprine, dopamine antagonists (metoclopramide): May cause serotonin syndrome (diarrhea, dysreflexia, fever, hallucinations, loss of coordination, nausea, tachycardia). If use together can't be avoided, closely monitor patient for signs and symptoms of serotonin syndrome.

Alert: Aspirin, NSAIDs, warfarin: May increase risk of bleeding. Use together cautiously.

Clomipramine: May cause euphoria and orthostatic hypotension when switching from clomipramine to milnacipran. Use together may also increase risk of serotonin syndrome. Monitor patient closely.

Digoxin: May cause orthostatic hypotension and tachycardia and digoxin-related adverse effects. Avoid use of digoxin I.V., when using oral digoxin and drug together, monitor patient closely.

Lithium, other serotonergic drugs: May cause serotonin syndrome. Avoid use together.

MAO inhibitors: May cause serotonin syndrome. Avoid using drug within 2 weeks after MAO inhibitor therapy, wait at least 5 days after stopping milnacipran or before starting MAO inhibitor.

Methylene blue: May cause CNS toxicity and serotonin syndrome. Avoid use together.

Herb :- Herbs with anticoagulant properties (alfalfa, anise, bilberry): May increase risk of bleeding. Use together cautiously.
