Mpower 2% w/w Ointment is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Infections of the Skin Such as Impetigo

Side effects of Mpower 2% w/w Ointment

The most common side effects of Mpower 2% w/w Ointment are – Peeling, Swelling, Dryness, Irritation, Rash, Redness, Itching, Nausea, Acne

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Mpower 2% w/w Ointment

Do not use Mpower 2% w/w Ointment if you are allergic to – Mupirocin

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Mpower 2% w/w Ointment.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Mpower 2% w/w Ointment works

Mpower 2% w/w Ointment contains – Mupirocin

Mupirocin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly and specifically binding to bacterial isoleucyl transfer-RNA synthetase.

Dosage of Mpower 2% w/w Ointment

The dosage of Mpower 2% w/w Ointment depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Mpower 2% w/w Ointment

If you forget to take a dose of Mpower 2% w/w Ointment, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG): May diminish therapeutic effect of BCG. Avoid combination.

Other nasal products: May interfere with absorption of other nasal drugs. Don't use together.

Sodium picosulfate, typhoid vaccine: May diminish therapeutic effect of sodium picosulfate and typhoid vaccine. Consider therapy modification.
