Interactions

Drug :- Cytotoxic drugs, radiation therapy: May enhance toxicity of hydroxyurea. Use together cautiously.

Interferon: May increase the risk of cutaneous vasculitic toxicities, including vasculitic ulcerations and gangrene. Stop drug.

Live-virus vaccines: May increase risk of vaccine-related adverse reactions, viral replication, and severe infection. Avoid vaccinations during and for 3 months after therapy ends.

Uricosuric agents (probenecid): Increases uric acid levels. Adjust dosage of uricosuric agent as neede.
