Uses of Naxdom 250 Tablet

Naxdom 250 Tablet is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Acute Gout, Acute Tendinitis, Bursitis, Pain, Primary Dysmenorrhea, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Osteoarthritis, RA, Juvenile Arthritis

Side effects of Naxdom 250 Tablet

The most common side effects of Naxdom 250 Tablet are - Dizziness, Drowsiness, Headache, Vertigo, Edema, Constipation, Diarrhea, Dyspepsia, Visual Disturbances, Abdominal Pain, Epigastric Pain, Heartburn, Nausea

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Naxdom 250 Tablet

Do not use Naxdom 250 Tablet if you are allergic to - Naproxen, Domperidone

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Naxdom 250 Tablet.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Naxdom 250 Tablet works

Naxdom 250 Tablet contains - Naproxen, Domperidone

Naproxen may inhibit prostaglandin synthesis to produce anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects.

Domperidone works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger in the brain which causes the feeling of nausea and vomiting, as well as increasing the movement or contractions of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach.

Dosage of Naxdom 250 Tablet

The dosage of Naxdom 250 Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Naxdom 250 Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Naxdom 250 Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- ACE inhibitors: May cause renal impairment. Use together cautiously.

Antihypertensives, diuretics: May decrease effect of these drugs. Monitor patient closely.

Aspirin, corticosteroids: May cause adverse GI reactions. Avoid using together.

Digoxin: May increase serum digoxin level. Monitor levels.

Lithium: May increase lithium level. Observe patient for toxicity and monitor level. Adjustment of lithium dosage may be required.

Loop diuretics, thiazide diuretics: May reduce diuretic effects. Monitor patient and consider therapy modification.

Methotrexate: May cause toxicity. Monitor patient closely.

Oral anticoagulants, NSAIDs, SSRIs, other sulfonylureas, highly protein-bound drugs: May cause toxicity. Monitor patient closely.

Potassium-sparing diuretics: May reduce antihypertensive effects and enhance hyperkalemic effects. Monitor patient closely.

Probenecid: May decrease elimination of naproxen. Monitor patient for toxicity.

Herb :- Alfalfa, anise, bilberry, dong quai, feverfew, garlic, ginger, ginkgo, horse chestnut, licorice, red clover: May cause bleeding, based on the known effects of components. Discourage use together.

White willow: Herb and drug contain similar components. Discourage use together.
