The most common side effects of Niftran 100mg CP Capsule are – Wheezing, Dry Cough, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal Pain, Shortness of Breath

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Niftran 100mg CP Capsule

Do not use Niftran 100mg CP Capsule if you are allergic to – Nitrofurantoin

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Niftran 100mg CP Capsule.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Niftran 100mg CP Capsule works

Niftran 100mg CP Capsule contains – Nitrofurantoin

Nitrofurantoin may interfere with bacterial enzyme systems and bacterial cell-wall formation.

The dosage of Niftran 100mg CP Capsule depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Niftran 100mg CP Capsule

If you forget to take a dose of Niftran 100mg CP Capsule, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- Antacids containing magnesium: May decrease nitrofurantoin absorption. Separate dosage times by 1 hour.

Probenecid, sulfinpyrazone: May inhibit excretion of nitrofurantoin, increasing drug levels and risk of toxicity. The resulting decreased urinary levels could lessen antibacterial effects. Avoid using together.

Food :- Any food: May increase absorption. Advise patient to take drug with food or milk.
