The most common side effects of Obsace 100mg Tablet ER are - Nausea, Headache, Drowsiness, Insomnia, Dizziness, Diarrhea, Dry Mouth

How Obsace 100mg Tablet ER works

Obsace 100mg Tablet ER contains - Fluvoxamine

Fluvoxamine may potentiate serotonin's action by blocking its reuptake at neuronal membranes. An elevated serotonin level may elevate mood and decrease depression and anxiety, which often accompany obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Dosage of Obsace 100mg Tablet ER

The dosage of Obsace 100mg Tablet ER depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Obsace 100mg Tablet ER

If you forget to take a dose of Obsace 100mg Tablet ER, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- May increase concentration, risk of toxicity of benzodiazepines, carbamazepine, clozapine, theophylline. Lithium, tryptophan may enhance fluvoxamine's serotonergic effects. MAOIs may increase risk of serotonin syndrome hyperthermia, rigidity, myoclonus. Tricyclic antidepressants may increase concentration. May increase effects of warfarin.

Herbs :- Valerian, St. John's wort, SAMe, kava kava may increase risk of serotonin syndrome or CNS depression. Avoid herbs with antiplatelet activity e.g., cat's claw, feverfew, ginger.

Lab Values :- May decrease serum sodium.
