Uses of Orprozil 250mg Tablet

Orprozil 250mg Tablet is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Bacterial Infections (Pneumonia, Laryngitis, Tonsillitis, Acute Bronchitis, Middle Ear Infection, Urinary Tract Infections, Skin and Soft Tissue)

Side effects of Orprozil 250mg Tablet

The most common side effects of Orprozil 250mg Tablet are – Dizziness, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal Pain, Genital Pruritus, Vaginitis, Anaphylaxis

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Orprozil 250mg Tablet

Do not use Orprozil 250mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Cefprozil

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Orprozil 250mg Tablet.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Orprozil 250mg Tablet works

Orprozil 250mg Tablet contains – Cefprozil

Cefprozil inhibits cell-wall synthesis, promoting osmotic instability, usually bactericidal.

The dosage of Orprozil 250mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Orprozil 250mg Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Orprozil 250mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Drug :- Aminoglycosides: May increase risk of nephrotoxicity. Monitor renal function tests closely.

Live-virus vaccines: May decrease effectiveness of live-virus vaccines. Concurrent use isn't recommended.

Probenecid: May inhibit excretion and increase cefprozil level. Use together cautiously.

Warfarin: May enhance anticoagulant effects. Monitor therapy.
