Pancreatic Insufficiency, Including Steatorrhea

Side effects of Panstal 150mg Capsule

The most common side effects of Panstal 150mg Capsule are – Stomatitis, Abdominal Cramps or Pain, Diarrhea, Intestinal Obstruction, Nausea, Rash, Urticaria, Hyperuricemia

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Panstal 150mg Capsule

Do not use Panstal 150mg Capsule if you are allergic to – Pancreatin

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Panstal 150mg Capsule.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Panstal 150mg Capsule works

Panstal 150mg Capsule contains – Pancreatin

Pancreatin is a mixture of several digestive enzymes produced by the exocrine cells of the pancreas. It is composed of amylase, lipase and protease. This mixture is used to treat conditions in which pancreatic secretions are deficient, such as surgical pancreatectomy, pancreatitis and cystic fibrosis.

Dosage of Panstal 150mg Capsule

The dosage of Panstal 150mg Capsule depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Panstal 150mg Capsule

If you forget to take a dose of Panstal 150mg Capsule, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- acarbose, miglitol: Decreased effectiveness of these drugs.

aluminum hydroxide, H2-receptor antagonists, omeprazole, sodium bicarbonate: Increased gastric pH, prolonged enzymatic action of pancreatin calcium carbonate- and magnesium hydroxide-containing antacids: Decreased pancreatin effectiveness.

iron supplements: Decreased iron absorption.
