How Septran Tablet worksSeptran Tablet contains - Sulfamethoxazole, Trimethoprim
sulfamethoxazole (TMP/SMX) is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It works by blocking the making and use of folate by the microorganisms.
Trimethoprim works by preventing the bacteria from producing folate. Without folate, the bacteria cannot produce DNA and so are unable to increase in numbers.
Dosage of Septran TabletThe dosage of Septran Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Overdose of Septran TabletIf you forget to take a dose of Septran Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.
