The most common side effects of Synclar 125mg Tablet DT are - Dizziness, Fatigue, Fever, Headache, Intracranial Hemorrhage, Atrial Fibrillation, Bradycardia, Edema, Bleeding

How Synclar 125mg Tablet DT works

Synclar 125mg Tablet DT contains - Clarithromycin

Clarithromycin inhibits RNA-dependent protein synthesis in many types of aerobic, anaerobic, grampositive, and gram-negative bacteria. By binding with the 50S ribosomal subunit of the bacterial 70S ribosome, clarithromycin causes bacterial cells to die.

The dosage of Synclar 125mg Tablet DT depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Synclar 125mg Tablet DT

If you forget to take a dose of Synclar 125mg Tablet DT, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- astemizole, disopyramide, quinidine: Possibly prolonged QT interval or torsades de pointes.

carbamazepine, other drugs metabolized bycytochrome P450 enzyme system: Increased blood levels of these drugs.

cisapride, disopyramide, pimozide, quinidine, terfenadine: Increased risk of arrhythmias.

colchicine: Increased risk of colchicine toxicity.

digoxin: Increased serum digoxin level.

dihydroergotamine, ergotamine: Risk of acute ergot toxicity.

lovastatin, simvastatin: Risk of rhabdomyolysis oral anticoagulants: Potentiated anticoagulant effects.

rifabutin, rifampin: Decreased blood clarithromycin level by more than 50%.

sildenafil: Possibly prolonged blood sildenafil level.

theophylline: Increased blood theophylline level.

triazolam: Possibly increased CNS effects.

zidovudine: Decreased blood zidovudine level.
