Angina Pectoris and Hypertension

Side effects of Tenolol 25mg Tablet

The most common side effects of Tenolol 25mg Tablet are – Dizziness, Drowsiness, Fatigue, Fever, Lethargy, Light-Headedness, Short-Term Memory Loss, Vertigo

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Tenolol 25mg Tablet

Do not use Tenolol 25mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Atenolol

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Tenolol 25mg Tablet.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Tenolol 25mg Tablet works

Tenolol 25mg Tablet contains – Atenolol

Atenolol inhibits stimulation of beta1-receptor sites, located mainly in the heart, decreasing cardiac excitability, cardiac output, and myocardial oxygen demand. Atenolol also acts to decrease release of renin from the kidneys, aiding in reducing blood pressure.

Dosage of Tenolol 25mg Tablet

The dosage of Tenolol 25mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Tenolol 25mg Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Tenolol 25mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Drug :- amiodarone: Additive atenolol effects calcium channel blockers, such as verapamil and diltiazem: Possibly symptomatic bradycardia and conduction abnormalities.

catecholamine-depleting drugs, such as reserpine: Additive antihypertensive effect.

clonidine: Rebound hypertension.

disopyramide: Increased risk of severe bradycardia, asystole, and heart failure.
