Terbest 250mg Tablet is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Fungal Infections (Fingernails or Toenails)

Side effects of Terbest 250mg Tablet

The most common side effects of Terbest 250mg Tablet are – Headache, Abdominal Pain, Anorexia, Diarrhea, Elevated Liver Function Test Results, Flatulence, Hepatic Failure, Indigestion, Nausea, Vomiting

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Terbest 250mg Tablet

Do not use Terbest 250mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Terbinafine

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Terbest 250mg Tablet.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Terbest 250mg Tablet works

Terbest 250mg Tablet contains – Terbinafine

Terbinafine inhibits the conversion of squalene monooxygenase to squalene epoxidase, a key enzyme in fungal biosynthesis. The resulting squalene accumulation weakens cell membranes and creates a deficiency of ergosterol, the fungal membrane component necessary for normal fungal growth.

Dosage of Terbest 250mg Tablet

The dosage of Terbest 250mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Terbest 250mg Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Terbest 250mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.

Drug :- beta blockers, MAO inhibitors type B, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants: Possibly increased blood levels of these drugs.

cimetidine, other hepatic enzyme inhibitors: Significantly decreased terbinafine clearance, possibly increased adverse reactions.

hepatotoxic drugs: Increased risk of hepatotoxicity.

rifampin: Increased clearance and decreased effectiveness of terbinafine.

Food :- caffeine: Decreased caffeine clearance.

Activity :- alcohol use: Increased risk of severe hepatitis.
