How Terbison 250mg Tablet works

Terbison 250mg Tablet contains - Terbinafine

Terbinafine inhibits the conversion of squalene monooxygenase to squalene epoxidase, a key enzyme in fungal biosynthesis. The resulting squalene accumulation weakens cell membranes and creates a deficiency of ergosterol, the fungal membrane component necessary for normal fungal growth.

Dosage of Terbison 250mg Tablet

The dosage of Terbison 250mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Terbison 250mg Tablet

If you forget to take a dose of Terbison 250mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interaction

Drug :- beta blockers, MAO inhibitors type B, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants: Possibly increased blood levels of these drugs.

cimetidine, other hepatic enzyme inhibitors: Significantly decreased terbinafine clearance, possibly increased adverse reactions.

hepatotoxic drugs: Increased risk of hepatotoxicity.

rifampin: Increased clearance and decreased effectiveness of terbinafine.

Food :- caffeine: Decreased caffeine clearance.

Activity :- alcohol use: Increased risk of severe hepatitis.
