HIV Infection

Side effects of Trustiva 200 mg/300 mg/600 mg Tablet

The most common side effects of Trustiva 200 mg/300 mg/600 mg Tablet are – Fatigue, Depression, Abnormal Dreams, Dizziness, Headache, Nausea, Insomnia, Diarrhoea, Rash

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Trustiva 200 mg/300 mg/600 mg Tablet

Do not use Trustiva 200 mg/300 mg/600 mg Tablet if you are allergic to – Emtricitabine, Tenofovir, Efavirenz

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Trustiva 200 mg/300 mg/600 mg Tablet.

How Trustiva 200 mg/300 mg/600 mg Tablet works

Trustiva 200 mg/300 mg/600 mg Tablet contains – Emtricitabine, Tenofovir, Efavirenz

Emtricitabine works by blocking the action of this enzyme, thereby interfering with the conversion of viral RNA into DNA.

Tenofovir interferes with an enzyme called reverse transcriptase, which is used by HIV-infected cells to make new viruses.

Efavirenz is in a class of medications called non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs). It works by decreasing the amount of HIV in the blood.

The dosage of Trustiva 200 mg/300 mg/600 mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
