Major Depression, Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder

Side effects of Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule

The most common side effects of Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule are – Abdominal Pain, Sexual Dysfunction, Constipation, Diarrhea, Indigestion, Nausea, Vomiting, Anxiety, Insomnia

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule

Do not use Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule if you are allergic to – Venlafaxine

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

How Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule works

Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule contains – Venlafaxine

Venlafaxine inhibits neuronal reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, along with its active metabolite, O-desmethylvenlafaxine. These actions raise serotonin and norepinephrine levels at nerve synapses, elevating mood and reducing depression.

Dosage of Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule

The dosage of Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Overdose of Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule

If you forget to take a dose of Venlor -XR 75mg Capsule, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

If you notice any unusual reaction in your body after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or call your local medical emergency number.

Drug :- amitriptyline, clomipramine, desipramine, doxepin, haloperidol, imipramine, linezolid, lithium, nortriptyline, protriptyline, St. John's wort, tramadol, trazodone, triptans: Possibly serotonin syndrome aspirin, NSAIDs, warfarin: Increased risk of bleeding.

cimetidine: Decreased clearance and increased levels of desvenlafaxine and venlafaxine.

clozapine: Possibly increased blood clozapine level and serious adverse reactions, including seizures.

CYP3A4 inhibitors, ketoconazole: Increased plasma venlafaxine level and risk of adverse reactions.

MAO inhibitors: Increased risk of hypertension, hyperthermia, mental status changes, including coma and delirium, muscle rigidity, and severe myoclonus.

metoprolol: Increased plasma metoprolol level but decreased effectiveness in lowering blood pressure.

warfarin: Possibly increased PT, partial thromboplastin time, and INR.
